I'm only recently discovering how much of an art form writing actually is.
The other day I caught myself putting in a word simply because it looked/sounded good. And then I saw that I was rearranging paragraphs, simply because they didn't belong where they were.
It's no different than painting a picture, it's fitting together pieces of artwork in a way that they look/sound good.
Can I call myself an artist? :)
You can, and should. Before pictographs, hieroglyphs, bas reliefs, whatever...there was the spoken word. Now there is the spoken word, and the written. Some people...such as myself...believe writing to be the only true art, and everything else is just a way of expressing words without writing.
